PAYROLL INFORMATION
Payroll is processed on a weekly basis on Tuesday afternoons. Dependent on your bank processing times, this may show in your account between Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon.
The pay covers the shifts from the previous week that commenced from Saturday 00:00 through to Friday 00:00 (the previous weekend to the one immediately prior to pay day).
Pay rates and conditions are in compliance with the Live Performance Award (for the majority of shifts), and for other general event work the Amusements, Events and Recreation Award (you will be advised prior if shift falls under this category)
Superannuation is paid on a Quarterly basis. To nominate a Superannuation account, please ensure all information is completed within the Super Choice Forms in the application form, otherwise a default account with MLC will be set up on your behalf.
BOSS ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM
We utilise a customised online booking system via text message. Once your application has been completed and your details uploaded to the program, as work becomes available that is deemed suitable to your experience and qualifications, you will receive a text message detailing the shift, the location and the times.
Simply reply with a Y for Yes or N for No followed after with the name of the event / booking (for example, Y Foo Fighters In 9am or Y Foo Fighters Out 10pm or Y Airport 10pm). The Y or N MUST BE FIRST for the program to register the response.
NB: The system cannot accept general text messages
WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY (WHS)
Please ensure you read and retain all information regarding our WHS practices and your requirements to this as outlined in the employee application form.
Working at new venues may require you to attend a specific induction prior to your shift (including Perth Arena and Crown Perth). In addition to these, attendance to shifts must be no later than 30 minutes prior to your call time to attend the event and venue specific inductions and complete relevant paperwork.
We encourage you to become familiar with our detailed Safety Policies and Procedures. These can be emailed to you, otherwise copies are kept onsite at the major venues such as Perth Arena and Adelaide Entertainment Centre and onsite all major events.
GRIEVANCE POLICY AND REPORTING
A grievance is a concern or complaint in regards to workplace practices, the work environment or the conduct of other employees or management. Event Personnel Australia strives for ongoing improvement and providing workplaces that are supportive, safe and free from any sort of bullying or harassment.
